UPDATE – According to MobileSyrup, the Telus Galaxy in question is actually going to be the mid-range Galaxy Apollo. Hopes dashed. When Samsung announced the launch in Canada of the Galaxy S ‘Superphone’, on Bell, they also said that “Canadian consumers can anticipate the release of additional Galaxy S smartphones throughout the rest of 2010.” Well, it looks like Telus might be the first carrier to have one of these ‘additional’ Galaxy S phones. A few days ago Christopher Butcher, the TCAF Festival Director & Co-Founder, posted his festival wrap-up on the TCAF website, Torontocomics.com. In this he thanks everyone who attended, and “some of the organizations and individuals who worked to make TCAF 2010 such an unprecedented success”. In a surprise move, Bell launched the HTC Legend Android smartphone this past Friday, on their Virgin Mobile MVNO. Up until last week it was thought that the flagship Android phone in Bell’s line-up would launch on the main brand. On Friday Best Buy’s website was even updated prematurely, to show to Legend as available on Bell. We went to the Daniel Clowes presents Wilson event on Friday night, where Mark Medley, arts writer from the National Post, sat down with Daniel, and talked with him at length about his career, art, and Wilson (his new graphic novel).
