rgbFilter at FanExpo: That’s no moon, it’s a convention centre

rgbFilter is at Fan expo 2009 and we’re knee-deep in wall-to-wall nerdiness. The fans are out in full force and the exhibitors have completely brought their A game to Canada’s largest sci-fi, comic, horror, anime and gaming convention. A few hilights from today: – Larry “The Soup Nazi” Thomas telling Mona “NO AUTOGRAPH FOR YOU!!” – Emma “Anya the Vengence Demon” Caulfield having a smoke with us out front – Avery Brooks, Linda Hamilton, Mary McDonnell…ya they were there. – I touched the lightcycle. Assassin’s Creed enables players to experience the thrill of murdering people in Renaissance Italy. Red Steel allows you to feel…

Toronto one of the top 10 most photographed cities on Earth

According to LIFE Magazine, Toronto has joined the ranks of Barcelona, New York City, Tokyo, and 6 other large cities as the most photographed in the world. LIFE’s process was not particularly scientific, but still telling, in that it appears that the stats come from casual or amateur photographers and not necessarily from any corporate-sponsored initiative: A glance at the list of Flickr’s all time most popular tags reveals that a handful of cities are consistantly photographed by the users of the popular photo hosting site. Check out the stream…
