Gamercamp Lv2 marks the return of the festival that celebrates indie gaming in Toronto. Last years inaugural event sold out, and this year looks like it’s going to be even bigger. Spanning 2 days, Gamercamp kicks off at the Toronto Underground Cinema with a number of keynotes from developers and some short films on video games, curated by Brandon Boyer. The Toronto Hand Eye Society, a “not-for-profit coalition of projects and people in support of Toronto’s videogame communities”, is holding their third social of 2010, at Unit Bar, 1198 Queen West. In addition to having a presentation by Brandon Boyer, founder of Offworld, contributing editor of Boing Boing & newly appointed IGF Chairman, the Society just announced that indie game artist Mark Essen will also be attending: Mark Essen Hoffman aka MESSHOF, a bona fide indie videogame rockstar & educator, will be rocking Unit Bar this Thursday alongside Mr. Boyer….
