MAJOR BATTLESTAR SPOILER: 5th Cylon potentially revealed

If you’re interested in a possible lead on the 5th Cylon, however, read on.
IMDB has confirmed that Tobias Mehler will be appearing in episodes 18, 19 and 20 of Battestar Galactica’s final season as Zak Adama.
Zak Adama is the son of Admiral Adama (Edward James Olmos), who was killed during a Viper mission. Kara “Starbuck” Thrace, the closest thing Adama has to a daughter, has always blamed herself for Zak’s death as she was the one who gave him flight clearance when she herself felt he was not ready for it.
This twist would definitely lend credence to Edward James Olmos’ description of the final episodes of Battlestar during his recent Q&A session at Fan Expo.
“The ending is….*PHEW*” he said. “It’s heartbreaking…not many of us make it.”
Aaron Douglas talks to rgbFilter about the final episodes as well.
“It ends well” he says in an interview with Alex.
Of course this is pure speculation, so take it for what it’s worth, but it certainly does make sense and fits in with Ron Moore’s particular style of mind-frak.
Battlestar Galactica’s final episodes begin airing on the SciFi channel (US) in January 2009.
