Fable III adds Windows to its world
It seems there’s a lot of news coming out of Peter Molyneux and Lionhead Studios regarding Fable III recently. The latest is that Fable III will be available not only on the Xbox 360, but the PC as well. On the 360 there will be both a standard and the limited edition for the hardcore fans of the franchise. On the PC, it will be available both at retail and as a download via the awkwardly named Games on Demand on Games for Windows – LIVE. I’m not knocking the service, as I’ve used it myself, but I think something along the lines of “Windows Live Games” gets the point across.
That little gripe out of the way, in this go around in Fable, you once again start off as a lowly peasant, but now have the chance to lead a revolution and take up the reigns of power yourself as king or queen. Though not confirmed, there’s certainly been hints that Project Natal integration may be coming as well. Screenshots certainly have given the world a darker, smokier edge, while maintaining the overall design aesthetic of the last two installments.
